Bussed Education Project Increases Disabled Students' Access to School

According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent from the Ministry of Family and Social Services, many studies are carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate of Social Assistance and the Ministry of National Education to make the lives of disabled students easier.

Since the 2004-2005 academic year, when the Transportation Education Project was implemented, disabled students who need special education have been provided free transportation to their schools.

All disabled groups can benefit from the program, which includes students from official special education schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, special education classes and non-formal trainees.

It is aimed to ensure that disabled people can find a place for themselves at every stage of social life.

With bussed education support, it is aimed to increase school attendance rates and encourage education and training by providing disabled students with easier access to schools.

At the same time, it is aimed to create a love of school in disabled students, to eliminate the problems that students experience in transportation, and thus to enable disabled individuals to find a place for themselves at every stage of social life.

Since the project started, the number of disabled students who have benefited from transportation has increased from 6 thousand 901 to 140 thousand 306.
