Keyboardist Gillian Gilbert clarifies that she is the one with cancer, not her husband Stephen Morris

Gillian's statement was made following an interview by her husband, drummer Stephen Morris, with "Rolling Stone" magazine, in which he mentioned facing a "health problem", without detailing the clinical picture.

Given the repercussion, the musician herself made a point of clearing up the misunderstanding and clarifying that she was the one undergoing health treatment.

"I would like to gently clear up a misunderstanding from the interview where comments were misinterpreted, leading people to believe that Stephen is seriously ill. Fortunately, he is fine. In fact, it is me, like many other people, who is living with cancer," Gillian wrote.

The keyboardist also thanked the couple for the affection and messages they received in recent days and asked their fans for privacy.
