TEKNOFEST 2026 Started in Diyarbakır

Within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2026, which is held under the main leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), young people will present the projects they have prepared in 11 competitions to be held at Dicle University and Mesopotamia Fairgrounds between 16-20 September.

677 finalist teams consisting of 2,925 young people from Türkiye, the United States, Italy, England, Georgia, Greece, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan and Indonesia are participating in the competitions.

In the organization that started at Dicle University 15 July Congress and Culture Center and will end on 18 September, the finalist teams will compete in the categories of "Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity Competition Secondary School Level", "Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity Competition High School Level" and "Artificial Intelligence in Health" categories.

Teacher Semih Poyraz, the founder of the team participating in the competition from Gaziantep, told the AA reporter that they advanced to the final among 191 thousand teams with the project they prepared with 6 of their students.

Explaining that they are working on a language robot with their students, Poyraz said, "We are competing in the educational technologies category with this robot. The robot offers different types of education in English and German. Thanks to sensors, we planned to make teaching language to students more fun in an interactive way. In this way, we developed an interactive robot with students." he said.

Zeynep Cemre Söylemez, one of the students from Kayseri, stated that they will compete in Diyarbakır with the project she prepared with her 3 friends and made it to the finals.

Söylemez said, "With our project, we aim to purify heavy materials from water that pose a great risk to human health." he said.

The finalist teams participating in the competition will compete in 8 categories at the Mesopotamia Fairground on September 18-20.
