Galatasaray-Stuttgart match will be screened on TRT 1 this evening during the broadcast time of Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests. Due to the match broadcast and economic difficulties in the sector, other channels also decided to suspend the broadcast of new episodes.

In this context, the new episodes of Haysiyet, which airs on Kanal D, NOW TV's series Anne Yarısı, and Tuzlu Kahve, which airs on Star TV, will not meet the audience this evening. With these developments, the crisis continued this week after the new episodes of six TV series did not air last week.

ADVERTISING REVENUES ARE AT THE LOWEST LEVEL IN THE LAST 30 YEARS

Among the main reasons for the contraction in the television industry is the huge decrease in advertising revenues. According to the information obtained, October was evaluated as the period with the lowest advertising revenue of the last 30 years. While it is stated that the advertising slots broadcast every hour on television channels are only 60 percent full, it is stated that the channels choose not to broadcast new episodes on special days and match dates due to the lack of increase in revenues.

CHANNELS ASKED FOR COST REDUCTIONS FROM PRODUCERS

Following increasing economic pressures and the advertising crisis, television channels and the professional association of producers came together last week and demanded a reduction in TV series costs. While it was pointed out that even the highly rated productions in the sector had difficulty in covering the costs, it was noted that the budgets ranging from 20 to 30 million TL per episode were maintained in the new season and the costs were not increased. It was reported that as a result of the discussions held by the producers with the actors and set crews, the actors decided to continue with their last season's wages.
