Tennis & Friends-Health and Sport 2026 in Turin: over 75 thousand visitors and 32 thousand free screenings

The sixth Turin edition of Tennis & Friends - Health and Sport closed with a success: over 75 thousand visitors filled the Valentino Park and Villa Glicini from 11 to 13 September 2026. The event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP) and included as the Official Charity of the Nitto ATP Finals, organized three days entirely dedicated to free prevention, sport and healthy lifestyles, recording a record number of 32 thousand free screenings and medical consultations.

The Health Village and medical excellence

The beating heart of the event was the Health Village, coordinated by the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin ASL and the Candiolo National Oncology Institute. Around 100 health stations were set up within the structure which offered visits in 30 different specialisations, registering a boom in requests especially for gynaecology, orthopaedics, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology and dietetics. The main Turin hospital excellences, the world of military healthcare, the police forces and the Donatorinati blood collection association have joined the initiative.

Champions and institutions united for prevention

The three days saw the participation of numerous institutional and scientific authorities, including representatives of the AIOM (Italian Association of Medical Oncology), engaged in a two-year protocol to reduce avoidable cancer deaths through early diagnosis. Alongside medicine, sport and entertainment played their part: celebrities and champions such as Francesca Lollobrigida, Pino Maddaloni, Alessia Filippi, Cristina Chiabotto and Vittorio Brumotti competed on the tennis courts for the "A volley for health" trophy, attracting a large audience.

Young people, inclusion and solidarity in the ward

The event dedicated ample space to the new generations with the "Prevention is young" day and to inclusion activities, such as the "Wheelchair" rally for athletes with motor disabilities. The "Tennis & Friends in Corsia" initiative also had a great social impact, which brought FITP teachers to the Regina Margherita Pediatric Oncology Hospital in Turin to offer moments of leisure and play to young patients, supported by the educational activities of the Interforce Village and the Third Sector.

The European Sports Week starts from Turin

The Piedmont event was also the ideal showcase for the official launch of the European Sports Week, scheduled from 23 to 30 September with the claim "#BeActive Your Way: No pressure, no judgement". The promoters recalled the importance of combating a sedentary lifestyle: although the data show an increase in active Italians, there are still around 17.7 million people who do not practice sport. The objective of the campaign is precisely to promote movement as a spontaneous gesture accessible to all ages.
