TFF Referred 448 Club Officials, Who Were Detected to Betting, to PFDK

Turkish Football Federation reported that the following people who worked as managers in the last 5 years in the clubs competing in the Super League and TFF 1st League in the 2026-2027 football season and who were found to have placed bets during their tenure, were referred to PFDK.

While there were a total of 448 people on the list, 13 names from Trabzonspor, 10 from Beşiktaş, 5 from Galatasaray and 3 from Fenerbahçe were referred to PFDK.

Among those who were found to be betting and referred to PFDK are Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan, Trabzonspor Vice President Zeyyat Kafkas and Beşiktaş Vice President Hakan Daltaban.

WHAT DOES ARTICLE 57 OF THE FOOTBALL DISCIPLINARY INSTRUCTIONS SAY?

Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction is as follows:

"Persons within the scope of this instruction;

a) It is prohibited to place direct or indirect bets and similar games of chance on football matches and/or any football-related activity.

b) They cannot have any duty or interest, directly or indirectly, in businesses, organizations and institutions (except public institutions and organizations) that promote, mediate, organize or carry out betting and similar games of chance or similar activities or transactions related to football competitions.

Persons who act otherwise will be punished with a ban from competitions or deprivation of rights for three months to one year.

It is prohibited to promote or advertise betting establishments that are not licensed by the competent authorities in any media, including through the use of billboards and other equipment in stadiums. "This ban also includes the participation of these organizations and promotion and advertising that evokes these organizations."

"In case of non-compliance with this prohibition:

a) For Super League Clubs, a fine of 3,000,000.-TL for the first violation, 6,500,000.-TL for the second violation, 13,000,000-TL for the third violation, and 13,000,000-TL for each subsequent violation along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

b) For 1st League Clubs, a fine of 1.200.000.-TL for the first violation, 2.500.000.-TL for the second violation, 5.000.000-TL for the third violation and 5.000.000-TL for each subsequent violation along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

c) For 2nd and 3rd League Clubs, a fine of 300,000-TL for the first violation, 600,000-TL for the second violation, 1,300,000-TL for the third violation, and 1,300,000-TL for each subsequent violation along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

d) In other leagues, a fine of 150,000 TL for the first violation, 300,000 TL for the second violation, 600,000 TL for the third violation, and 600,000 TL for each subsequent violation along with a deduction of -3 points.
