TFF started work on establishing a new Central Referee Board

Turkish Football Federation announced that work has begun on the establishment of the new Central Referee Board.

In the statement made by TFF, "The necessary information regarding the appointment of the new Central Referee Board President and members will be shared with the public in the coming days." statements were included.

"Within the scope of the ongoing judicial process that was reflected to the public, it was announced to the public that the President of the Central Referee Board, Mr. Ferhat Gündoğdu, was arrested, and the 4th Regional Officer of the Central Referee Board, Mr. Sebahattin Şahin, was released on the condition of judicial control and a ban on going abroad.

In line with these developments, studies on the establishment of the new Central Arbitration Board continue.

Until the appointment process of the new Central Referee Board is completed, referee appointments for the Ziraat Türkiye Cup competitions to be played on 6, 7 and 8 October; It will be held by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Referee Board, Mr. Hikmet Öksüzoğlu, and the members of the Central Referee Board, Mr. Ali Zağlı, Mr. Kamil Abitoğlu, Mr. İbrahim Çınar and Mr. Ziya Çetin.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Within the scope of the "Referees file" investigation carried out by Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch teams under the coordination of Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes Bureau, it was determined that there were allegations of "torture" and "forgery of official documents" against some suspects.

As a result of open source research, MASAK and HTS studies, complainant and witness statements and expert findings within the scope of the file, it was evaluated that MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu and some MHK member referees and observers may be connected to the crime.

Thereupon, in the operation carried out at the addresses determined in Istanbul, Ankara, Elazığ and Manisa, Ferhat Gündoğdu, TFF Active Referees Association President Ferdi Karadoruk, former TFF Central Referee Board Deputy Chairman Ahmet Şahin, former TFF Central Referee Board Member Yunus Yıldırım, TFF Education and 4th Region Officer Sebahattin Şahin, TFF Referees and Observers Association Istanbul Branch Organization Officer Alican Sağlar. TFF Referees and Observers Association Istanbul Provincial Referee Board President Emre Kosif was taken into custody.

It was reported that within the scope of the investigation, Super League referee Yasin Kol and Super League assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also detained by Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch teams.

FERHAT GÜNDOĞDU AND 4 NAMES WERE ARRESTED

It was decided to keep MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu, Ferdi Karadoruk, Yunus Yıldırım, Alican Sağlar and Emre Kosif in detention. Ahmet Şahin and Sebahattin Şahin were released under judicial control with an international travel ban.
