Striking claim from TİP MP Ahmet Şık: 'Furkan Torlak was dismissed'

Turkish Workers' Party Istanbul Deputy Ahmet Şık made a remarkable post about Furkan Torlak on his social media account.

It was claimed that Furkan Torlak, the former Director of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation, was dismissed from his position at the Ministry of Justice.

Şık wrote:

"Mehmet was expelled from KAP.

Furkan Torlak, who was an executioner of dignity with the troll + media manipulation gang he established under the fake identity of Mehmet Kap, was dismissed from his position where he was employed as the little Goebbels of the Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek.

Targeting our families, women, children and friends with the manipulation gang he established to cover up the crimes they were involved in;

Furkan Torlak, who is known as one of the names who acted as the hitman of those who lost the patience of even the AKP members because they leaked names from the government in order to hide that they were involved in all kinds of robberies, including the funds, and to give the message "If I burn, I will burn everyone" in order not to lose their seats, has been dismissed as of today.

The Palace Regime is trying to get rid of the pollution and bile that it can no longer bear. "The real solution will be found the day we confront the understanding that made this situation possible, not by dismissing a few names, and the day we come to terms with the robbery scheme."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The new indictment against former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy and 7 others on charges of "qualified sexual assault" and "establishing a criminal organization" was accepted by the Istanbul 19th High Criminal Court, and in the indictment accepted by the court, unlike the first rejected indictment, the names of the Ministry of Justice Press Counselor Furkan Torlak and former Head of Religious Affairs Mehmet Görmez, which were mentioned in the suspect and witness statements but did not contain criminal charges, were removed.

Cem Küçük made allegations about drugs and Furkan Torlak in December 2025. In the program on TGRT News, Küçük said, "I know firsthand that this Furkan has made a fuss about me and others in the Complex many times before. I had this confirmed by 3-4 people. He came here with Numan Bey's team. At one point, he went to the Ministry of Tourism, but they did not hire him. Fahrettin Altun gradually appointed him as the head of the Center for Combating Disinformation."

"Furkan's name is also mentioned in the statements given by 2-3 people," said Küçük, adding, "His private life does not concern me, but Furkan must also pass the drug test."

"The house you live in in Ankara costs 40 million liras. The car you drive costs 10 million liras," said Küçük, adding:

"We know what you are doing through Menekşe İnşaat. We also have the documents. It is known that you closed down the land, etc. Even about the ministers, they create a pool by saying 'they prepared an intelligence report about these people'. They prepare negative reports about those people by saying 'the President wanted it that way' and distribute them left and right. They are also trying to scare the ministers."

On the other hand, NEW Party leader Özgür Özel pointed to Furkan Torlak, who was also mentioned in drug operations, and claimed that an unofficial structure was created near the Ministry of Justice. Özel said the following about Torlak without naming him:

"Another person has appeared in these cadres, my friends. Someone whose name was mentioned in the drug investigation in Istanbul conducted by Akın Gürlek himself. Someone whose name was mentioned in every statement. Someone who was put in prison headlong. Then, suddenly, sir, allegations were spoken and written. Someone who would have been arrested if even 1 percent of these allegations were true, but someone who was not. He is the head of a job and structure in the Directorate of Communications that is supposedly responsible for disinformation. These are spread from the next room of the Minister of Justice to act as an executioner of dignity, so that the person's resistance will be broken and his relations with his wife will be broken... Without even hiding the name of the person in question... How much of the press is doing this? I swear, most of the people living here don't do it, thank God. However, TİP Istanbul Deputy Ahmet Şık previously asked 9 questions to the Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek and claimed that a troll and media network was established within the Ministry through the fake identity of "Mehmet Kap" and the telephone line registered to a Syrian national, in order to manipulate the public.
