Call from TKP for the Mecca Agreement: 'Deputies should use their will to say 'no''

A statement was made on the social media account of the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP) regarding the Mecca Agreement vote to be held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

The statement said, "No to the Mecca Agreement; we will not be the soldiers of Israel, the USA, or the Saudis."

"Today, there will be a historic vote on the Mecca Agreement, which will be on the agenda of the General Assembly of the Parliament. With the votes to be cast, it will be decided whether to side with the US-backed occupying Saudi Kingdom or the poor Yemeni people defending their own country. With the votes to be cast today, it will be decided whether the US, Israeli and Saudi missiles will fall on the Yemeni people, as well as whether the missiles of the Turkish Armed Forces will fall. With the votes to be cast today, it will be decided whether to side with the Palestinian resistance or the genocidal Israel, which provides intelligence support to the Saudis in Riyadh.

There is only one thing to do in order not to go down in history with a shameful decision and not to make our country share in this dishonor in pursuit of Neo-Ottoman dreams, and that is to say 'no' to the Mecca Agreement. "As we emphasized in our open call to MPs, today MPs should use their will to say 'no' to the Mecca Agreement, prevent the AKP government from setting the country on fire, and not be complicit in this crime."
