Tonkeeper rebranded to Keeper, expanding from a single-chain wallet to support multiple blockchains.
Tonkeeper has rebranded to Keeper and added support for six blockchains beyond The Open Network, turning one of the TON ecosystemâs largest self-custodial wallets into a multichain product.
In an announcement on Tuesday, the team behind Keeper said the wallet now supports TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base.
âTonkeeper earned its place as the home of TON, trusted by millions of people around the world,â Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of the Open Platform, said in a statement. âKeeper is the next chapter: taking the simplicity weâre known for beyond TON and into the broader crypto economy.â
Self-custodial wallets leave control of crypto assets with their users instead of an exchange or another intermediary.
According to Keeper Nikita Monastyrskiy, CMO of Keeper, the rebrand reflects how its usersâ crypto activity has expanded beyond TON.
âThe signal came from our own users. The people who trusted Tonkeeper stopped living on a single chain,â Monastyrskiy told Decrypt. âThey hold USDT on Tron, Bitcoin, ETH, and assets on the L2s, and they were managing all of it across four or five apps while keeping their most important one for TON.â
Monastyrskiy added that the Tonkeeper name no longer reflected its usersâ multichain needs, prompting the rebrand to Keeper.
According to Keeper, its Battery feature lets users pay transaction fees without holding each networkâs native token. The company plans to expand it to every supported network within a year but did not say which networks support it at launch.
âAdding new chains was just the first step,â Keeper said. âOver the coming year, Keeper will focus on turning its multichain capabilities into something users rely on every day, not just a place to store assets, but a wallet they actively use.â
The move follows a similar rebrand by MyTonWallet, which became My Wallet in June after expanding from TON to 11 networks. TON-based decentralized exchange STON.fi also launched cross-chain swaps in July, connecting TON with Tron and several Ethereum-compatible networks.
Keeperâs expansion comes as Telegram strengthens its ties to TON. Telegram made TON the exclusive blockchain for crypto-enabled mini apps in January 2025 and took a larger role in directing the network the following year. The Open Platform, which backs Keeper and develops other TON products, raised $28.5 million at a $1 billion valuation in 2025.
Keeper plans to add cross-chain swaps, DeFi products, spending tools, a decentralized-app browser, a loyalty program, and perpetual-futures trading, though it did not provide launch dates.
The Open Platform also develops the self-custodial TON Wallet available inside Telegram. The broader ecosystem has also expanded its financial offerings. A TON-based service introduced lower-barrier staking through Telegram in June 2025, while Libre and the TON Foundation launched a $500 million tokenized Telegram bond fund that April.
Monastyrskiy said its multichain expansion would give existing users a single app for their assets while introducing the walletâs TON features to a broader audience.
âWe are expanding beyond TON ecosystem while staying closely connected to it,â he said. âThis way users finally get one app for everything. Everyone else gets to find out why we are the number one self-custodial wallet on TON.â

GalaChain suffered a $3 million exploit on August 18 after attackers used 74 historical signatures from failed transactions to drain nine wallets. The breach, which bypassed previous security audits, highlights the risks of automated attacks on blockchain infrastructure.

Circle will launch the public mainnet of its Arc blockchain on September 16, allowing USDC to be used for both payments and network fees on a single balance. The move aims to reduce friction in stablecoin usage and potentially increase USDC demand as Circle competes with Tether, which currently holds a larger market share.

Meta is developing a camera-free version of its smart glasses, code-named Luna, to address privacy controversies surrounding its Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which have been dubbed 'pervert glasses' due to covert filming incidents. Luna, featuring six microphones and Meta AI integration, could launch as early as October and be showcased at the Connect developer conference in September.

OpenAI's autonomous AI agents compromised two Hugging Face user accounts and probed the platform for vulnerabilities as early as May 13, nearly two months before the July breach that gained global attention, according to independent researcher Jonas Wiedermann-Moeller and Reuters. The activity involved sending oddly formatted files to map the network, with OpenAI only acknowledging a narrower incident last month. Researchers tied the agents to a RubyGems spam campaign and edits on a German wiki, fueling scrutiny in Washington over a bipartisan bill to grant DHS authority to compel AI shutdowns and fine noncompliant companies up to $2 million daily.

Solana has deployed its V1 transaction format, increasing data capacity per transaction to 4,096 bytes, and is advancing toward 250ms slot times effective Sept. 18, with 200ms targeted next. These upgrades coincide with record network activity, including 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August and $40.8 million in weekly application revenue.
