Trump: 'Maybe it's time for Zelensky to hand the negotiations over to someone else'

While US President Trump was leaving the White House for his election rally in Kansas, he evaluated the agenda with members of the press.

Stating that he very much wants the Russia-Ukraine war to end and that they are currently negotiating with Moscow for this purpose, Trump emphasized that he has a good dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin in this process.

Trump argued that Russia was more willing to make a deal and Ukraine was more reluctant, saying, "Maybe it's time for Zelensky to hand over the negotiations to someone else." made his assessment.

When reminded that Zelenskiy was disturbed by the diesel agreement he made with Russia and said that "Trump is standing on the wrong side of history", the US President used the following statements:

"Zelenskiy does not know what he is talking about. He should have resolved this war long ago. If he had listened to me, he would have made a good deal a long time ago and 1 million people would still be alive in his country."

Trump stated that they were actively negotiating with Putin regarding Ukraine and that he did not want to disrupt the negotiations by going into details.

Emphasizing that they are in a good dialogue process with the Russian President regarding Iran, Trump said, "Putin does not touch Iran, and this is a good thing, because we attack Iran very hard, economically and militarily." made his assessment.

Trump stated that China acted "reasonably" regarding both Iran and Ukraine and said, "Russia could have done much more to help Iran, but it did very little. China could also have done much more for Iran. I see this as a very positive development." he said.

Trump stated that he is open to a trilateral meeting with Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in China, where he will visit in November.

In response to a question, the US President said, "If Putin and Xi want to meet in a tripartite meeting, I would like to do this in China." made his assessment.

Trump noted that he did not know who caused the interruption of the internet service that Starlink provided to the Ukrainian army, but he wanted to find the person responsible.
