The Treasury proposes a new instrument to compensate communities harmed by the regional financing reform

The Government has obtained the approval of the Fiscal and Financial Policy Council for its regional financing reform, with the support only of Catalonia and the Canary Islands, despite the rejection of the rest of the communities. To address the inequalities generated by the distribution of an additional 21 billion, the Treasury agreed to create a new instrument outside the main system, which will take into account factors such as depopulation, mass tourism or forestry risks, although its financing or distribution has not yet been defined. Minister Arcadi España pointed out that it will be a 'new element' with greater weighting for some territories, while Junts maintains its amendment to the entirety, blocking the processing of the rule in Congress.

The Civil Guard delivers a report to the National Court on the massive entry into Ceuta

The Civil Guard has delivered to Judge María Tardón a report indicating that its previous communications did not anticipate the size of the massive entry of immigrants to Ceuta on July 30 and 31, supporting the government's thesis that there was no prior notice. This is the second report received by the magistrate, after that of the National Police, which points to planning by Moroccan security forces and rules out a mass migratory nature, since only 10% attempted to remain.
