Trump emphasized his actions to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons

US President Donald Trump answered questions from members of the press after having lunch at the White House, where he met with executives of artificial intelligence companies.

Answering a question about the possibility of Iran giving up, Trump said, "I don't know if Iran will give up yet, but eventually it will. They are in a very bad situation."

"We have passed more oil through the Strait of Hormuz in the last few days than at any time in history, including long before the war we launched to stop the acquisition of nuclear weapons. What we are doing is to stop the acquisition of nuclear weapons. Iran will not have this technology," Trump said.

"THEY COULD HAVE STOPPED IT IN TIME"

Asked why Iran could not have nuclear weapons while North Korea could have them, Trump replied, "They could have stopped it in time. But there was a different president then."

Stating that he is a friend of North Korean National Leader Kim Jong-Un, Trump said, "Kim Jong-Un has a very large nuclear capacity, although not as much as ours. Do you know why? Because previous presidents did not do what I did."

In his statements regarding the North Korean leader, Trump said, "As long as I'm around, he won't cause any trouble."
