Trump praises AfD's success in Saxony-Anhalt

In his post on his social media account, Trump praised the success of the AfD in the elections held on September 6 in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Stating that the AfD, which he described as the "populist party in Germany" in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, "has achieved great success", Trump said: "Finally, they are tired of those extremely terrible immigration rules and regulations that cause great harm to Germany." he said.

Trump stated that the AfD is on the rise and that Germany "will no longer tolerate" these immigration policies.

AfD wins Saxony-Anhalt elections

The far-right AfD won the State Assembly elections held on September 6 in the state of Saxony-Anhalt with 43.8 percent of the votes, but could not obtain the necessary majority to form a government on its own.

The CDU became the second party with 17.2 percent of the votes, losing 19.9 points compared to 2021.

The Social Democratic Party, which increased its vote by 0.9 points compared to the previous election, ranked third with 9.3 percent.

The Social Justice and Economic Understanding Party (BSW) also gained the right to enter the Parliament with 5.3 percent of the votes.

According to reports in the German media, all parties except BSW refuse to form a government with the far-right AfD. Accordingly, comments are being made that a government may be formed in the state in which BSW supports AfD from outside.
