Technology Entrepreneurship Ecosystem is Developing in Türkiye

In addition to AK Party deputies, stakeholders of the technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem, entrepreneurs and company officials also took part in the program. Work is carried out at Terminal Istanbul to develop technology startups, bring together entrepreneurs with investors and open innovative ideas to global markets.

Kacır stated that Türkiye aims to create a strong ecosystem in technology entrepreneurship and said that the R&D and innovation infrastructure implemented in the last 23 years forms the basis of work in this field.

Stating that more than 13 thousand technology startups operate in 115 technoparks in Türkiye, Kacır stated that many researchers and engineers continue their work in more than 1,700 R&D and design centers.

Kacır said, "We see building a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem that will enable globally assertive technology startups to emerge from Türkiye, grow and open up to the world, as the key to a more prosperous and stronger Türkiye." he said.

Stating that qualified human resources are the basis of success in technology and entrepreneurship, Kacır drew attention to Türkiye's young and dynamic population structure. Stating that approximately 1 million young people join the talent pool by graduating from universities every year, Kacır said that young people are brought together with the competencies of the future through activities such as Try-Do technology workshops, Sector on Campus, National Technology Expertise Programs and National Technology Workshops.

Kacır noted that with TEKNOFEST, which has been held since 2018, millions of young people have been included in the technology development journey and the transformation of innovative ideas emerging in the competitions into initiatives has been supported.
