Foreign Ministers of Türkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued a statement regarding Israel's refusal to implement the Gaza Plan.
Ministers condemned Israel's rejection of the road map to complete the implementation of Trump's Gaza Plan and the State of Palestine, approved by UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution 2803.
Noting that Israel's attitude directly endangers the implementation of the Gaza Plan, the Ministers noted that it also fundamentally undermines joint efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
"This rejection confirms that Israel is now responsible for obstructing efforts to achieve peace in Gaza and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territory," the ministers said. he said.
Ministers emphasized that the plan accepted by Palestinian groups was the result of comprehensive mediation efforts by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the USA, the Gaza High Representative and the Peace Board, and noted that the plan in question constitutes a "vital turning point" in terms of the reconstruction of Gaza.
Underlining that Israel bears direct and full responsibility for any consequences that may arise from its rejection, obstruction, delay or failure to comply with the plan, including the deterioration of the situation on the ground and the disruption of the end of the war in Gaza, the Ministers emphasized the importance of the continuous and active participation of the United States to ensure and implement Israel's full compliance with the commitments and regulations envisaged under the Comprehensive Plan and Road Map, as well as to prevent further obstruction of their implementation. he said.
Reiterating that the said plan must be fully and immediately implemented in order to eliminate the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza, ensure security and stability for all, and pave the way for reconstruction and recovery, the Ministers underlined that a just and lasting peace must be based on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and state establishment in accordance with international law.
Ministers stated that they categorically reject any attempt to prevent or eliminate the possibility of the establishment of a Palestinian state, including unilateral steps, and said, "A just, permanent and comprehensive peace can only be achieved by the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions, on the basis of the 1967 borders.
