UN Climate Chief Says Fossil Fuel Cost Crisis Boosting Renewable Energy Adoption
Fossil fuel advocates have unwillingly given a boost to renewable energy as the war in the Middle East has triggered an oil price shock, UN climate chief Simon Stiell said Thursday. "The fossil fuel cost crisis now has its foot on the throat of the global economy," Stiell said at a meeting on the energy transition hosted by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris.
