An Oise gendarme indicted for voyeurism and possession of child pornography images

An Oise gendarmerie officer was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention in May for voyeurism, with around fifteen complaints filed at this stage, AFP learned on Thursday from consistent sources, confirming information from Courrier Picard.

According to a source close to the investigation, the forty-year-old was caught in flagrante delicto by a gendarme while he slipped an endoscopic camera under the door of the women's toilets in the premises of his brigade in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin, of which he had been the head since 2024. He was arrested at his home the same evening. On site, investigators found three endoscopic cameras, and images of child pornography were discovered in his computer equipment, according to the same source.

The soldier was suspended from his duties

Asked by AFP, the Senlis prosecutor, Loïc Abrial, made no comment on this file, which has since been relocated to Paris. The Paris prosecutor's office did not immediately respond. Around fifteen people have already filed a complaint against the accused, according to a judicial source. The accused was suspended from his duties, “pending the outcome of the disciplinary and criminal proceedings” concerning him, the national gendarmerie told AFP on Thursday.

The acts were committed “to the detriment of soldiers” of the gendarmerie “and civilian personnel” according to the same source. The judicial investigation was entrusted to the Lille research section for civilian victims, and to the judicial investigation office of the General Inspectorate of the National Gendarmerie (IGGN) for military personnel, added the gendarmerie, expressing its “total solidarity” with these victims.
