Vox shakes up the electoral map: close to the PSOE in Andalusia, surpasses it in Murcia and overtakes the PP in Catalonia

A survey reveals that the PSOE and Sumar repeat at minimum levels after the electoral advance, while Vox reaches a record at the expense of the PP. Feijóo is growing as a presidential option for 60% of Spaniards and Abascal ties with Sánchez and Díaz. The alternative left loses presence in six communities and adds only nine seats, 23 less than in 2023. The territorial impact alters the traditional balances, with Vox advancing in Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Aragón and Extremadura, while the Basque Country and Galicia resist as non-Voxist bastions. The PSOE falls from 121 to 103 seats and Catalan socialism loses three deputies compared to 2023.

The PP of Cádiz demands the resignation of the mayor of Algeciras after learning of a new complaint of sexual assault

The PP of Cádiz has demanded the immediate resignation of the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, after learning of a second complaint of sexual assault filed by a Nueva Generaciones activist. Twelve of the fifteen popular councilors of his government have signed a document registered in the City Council requesting his departure from office. The party warns that it will open an internal file against those who do not support the proposal and will promote all necessary actions to recover the city government if Landaluce resists. The mayor, 67 years old and out of the PP since December 2025, had announced his intention to run again in the municipal elections in 2027 without clarifying under what acronym.
