33-year-old man killed by a hit-and-run driver in Vicopisano (Pisa)

A 33-year-old man died last night in Vicopisano (Pisa) in circumstances yet to be clarified. The young man was apparently hit by a car and investigators are still trying to identify the driver. The 33-year-old Italian was found on the ground with numerous injuries and trauma and died despite attempts to resuscitate him by 118 personnel. The alarm went off shortly after 3am and the investigations are still ongoing. According to what was learned, the victim was hit while he was on foot and the car that hit him then continued on without providing assistance. The site of the accident is not covered by cameras, apart from the private ones of a nearby pharmacy which, however, is not clear whether they recorded the impact. The police are also viewing the images taken by the urban video surveillance cameras of Vicopisano at a time compatible with the incident in the hope of gathering useful clues that may allow the identification of the hit-and-run driver.
