Teresópolis UPA operates in a temporary location during works, with reports of overcrowding and inadequate structure

The location temporarily functions as a reference for urgent and emergency care for adults in the city during the construction of the Teresópolis UPA.

Images recorded by companions show people waiting for care in a space that, according to reports, would not be able to accommodate the demand. In the medication area, patients appear with their feet resting on trash cans.

The g1 team was on site this Tuesday (15) and spoke to people who preferred not to identify themselves. They stated that the movement remained intense.

Reports also point to delays in care and difficulties related to the structure of the unit.

City Hall reported that the UPA works are expected to be completed by the end of this month, with the unit expected to reopen in October.

Another project considered important to expand the city's health network is the Multi-Hospital, expected to be completed by the end of this year.
