Proceedings against suspected sex offenders in Nordhausen have not yet been approved

In the case of a man who is said to have sexually assaulted children during psychotherapy sessions in Nordhausen, a decision has not yet been made about whether the charge should be admitted to the main hearing. A spokeswoman for the responsible district court in Nordhausen announced this upon request. If the charges are admitted, it is conceivable that the trial could begin at the end of the year or at the beginning of next year.

According to the court spokeswoman, there are now two charges in this case. This happens, for example, when allegations become known at different times or the investigations into different allegations are completed at different times. In both proceedings, the accused is accused of sexual offenses against minors.

In March it became known that the Mühlhausen public prosecutor's office had brought charges against the then 65-year-old man for sexual harassment. The Meiningen public prosecutor's office had also announced that it was investigating the man for billing fraud and violation of the Alternative Practitioner Act. There is also an accusation against the man that he is said to have worked in child and adolescent psychotherapy practice without a license.
