"We were going to surprise her today, but we didn't have time. With an hour left before her shift ended, this tragedy happened," lamented Anderson.
The man also highlighted that his wife complained about her work and that she had plans to resign after completing one year at the company.
"They murdered my wife, because they put her under that construction site. I don't even see that as an accident. It was under construction and they put the employees to work underneath. That's not acceptable," he said.
Finally, Anderson drew attention to a feeling he had late in the afternoon, shortly before the accident. "[At] 4pm I felt something and sent her a message, asking if everything was ok, but she didn't respond. I already knew something had gone wrong", he highlighted.
A co-worker said that everything happened quickly and the victims didn't have time to escape. In an interview with the reporting team, the man said he narrowly escaped being hit by the debris.
"I was there with them. I had just talked to them. It was a matter of 20 seconds between me leaving their side and arriving here at the gate and I only heard the noise. It all went down at once", said driver Romilton Ramos de Souza.
