Within this area - this is the hypothesis put forward by the investigators - the man would have grabbed the victim, despite the young man's attempts to defend himself, then forcing him to suffer violence.

The investigations made use, among other things, of the images from the video surveillance systems inside the Pompeii archaeological park, which allowed the alleged perpetrator to be identified.

The Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata company carried out the precautionary custody order in Scafati (Salerno) - issued by the investigating judge of the Oplontine court at the request of the Torrese Prosecutor's Office - against the man who was taken to the Vallo della Lucania prison.
