Wi-Fi, disaster prevention, heat, bear infestation - 10 pieces of information for Tokyo residents in one map "Tokyo Map" officially released

On August 20th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and GovTech Tokyo (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) released the official version of ``Tokyo Map,'' a website that brings together various map services provided by various Tokyo bureaus. You can freely combine different maps, such as flood predicted areas, free Wi-Fi, water spots, heat index, etc., and display them on one screen. Anyone can use it for free and access it from a web browser on a PC or smartphone.

Until now, in Tokyo, each bureau provided map information on disaster prevention, environment/nature, digital, welfare, water, etc. on its own website, which had to be accessed individually depending on the purpose. Tokyo Map aggregates this information. Currently, 10 types of maps are available, and you can select and combine the information you need.

We also have pre-prepared sets that combine maps for different purposes. Currently, there are ``Protect yourself from the summer heat,'' which allows you to check the heat index and drinking fountains, and ``Check your actions to prepare for an earthquake,'' and ``Check your actions to prepare for a flood,'' which collectively display damage estimates, free Wi-Fi, water stations, etc.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has so far provided a beta version of ``Tokyo Map,'' and announced plans to begin full-scale operation and expand disaster prevention-related information in 2016.
