Wladimir Klitschko expresses his sadness after the death of Hayden Panettiere

Wladimir Klitschko, Ukrainian boxer, ex-boyfriend Hayden Panettiere and father of her only daughter, Kaya, 11, has published a message of regret for the death of the actress. "Our family is going through a time of deep shock and grief. The announcement of Hayden's tragic death deeply saddens me. He left this world too soon."

The affectionate message remembers what the actress meant to him. "Hayden, although she was no longer my partner, was an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya. She built an incredible career thanks to her immense talent, while facing the most difficult aspects of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase the moments we shared or the place she held in our lives," he wrote.

"I will always talk to our daughter Kaya about her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was," he adds. And he sends his condolences to Hayden's parents. "I extend my sincere condolences to Hayden's parents, friends and fans, who are also grieving today. Young, talented people like Hayden should not leave this world so soon."

The boxer requests respect for the actress's entourage: "I ask everyone to respect the feelings and privacy of our family during this very difficult time. Thank you to everyone who is supporting my family and expressing their sincere condolences. Rest in peace, Hayden. May you find eternal peace."

Although there is still no official confirmation of the cause of the actress' death, two days after turning 37, it is known that there are no signs of violence or trauma. It has also not been confirmed that it may have been an overdose, although Hayden had confessed to his addiction problems and in the house where his body appeared there was Narcam, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.

Apparently, Hayden had traveled from Los Angeles to South Carolina with former actor Brian Hickerson, with whom she had an on-again, off-again relationship.

The actress was temporarily at the Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville when an acquaintance called the emergency services around 1:51 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. The paramedics found her unconscious and in cardiac arrest and, despite trying to revive her, she was declared dead half an hour later.

A detail adds questions to that moment: two ambulances went to the house and deployed their stretchers, although none ultimately transported any patient.
