WTT China Grand Slam draw announced: Lin Yunru faces Huang Zhenting in the first round, Zheng Yijing staged Taiwanese civil war

The main draw of the 2026 WTT China Grand Slam will be held on October 4. The draw ceremony will be held today. The "Silent Assassin" Lin Yunru will face the Hong Kong pen-hand hit player Huang Zhenting in the first round of the men's singles. In the first round of the women's singles, Zheng Yijing will stage a "Taiwan Civil War" with Huang Yutian, a girl from Gui Nhon Elementary School.

The China Grand Slam is the last major of the year, but the two major landowner stars Lin Shidong and Wang Chuqin, who just won the men's singles gold and silver medals at the Nagoya Asian Games, both retired due to injuries. This also left France's "glasses boy" F. Leblanc and Japan's top brother Matsushima Terukora to be awarded the top two men's singles seeds.

Lin Yunru, ranked 6th in the world, is ranked 5th seed. In the first round, he will face Huang Zhenting, ranked 38th in the world. In the past international matches, Xiaolin had a slight advantage with 4 wins and 3 losses. In the most recent men's team competition at the 2024 Asian Championships, Xiaolin also won 3:1. If Lin Yunru can successfully pass the first hurdle, the top 32 will face the winner of South Korea's old enemy Lin Jongxun and China's Asian Games national player Huang Youzheng.

Tainan young player Guo Guanhong, ranked 39th in the world, will meet Swedish player Lanafor, ranked 29th in the world, in the first round. The two met for the first time at the Scobie Challenge last year, and Guo lost 2:3. The first opponent of Feng Yixin, ranked 41 in the world, was Qiu Dang, the German pen-hold sweeper ranked 10th in the world. The two sides fought twice this year. Xiao Feng narrowly defeated 3:2 in the London World Team Championship, while Qiu Dang regained the victory 3:1 in the Ljubljana Star Challenge.

In the women's singles, Zheng Yijing, ranked 28th in the world, met Huang Yuxi, a senior student from Heku, in the first round. The winner of the top 32 will face the Chinese star Wang Yidi; "Electric Fan Girl" Peng Yuhan faced the world's 10th in the first round. Landlord rising star Chen Yi; Ye Yitian, ranked 46 in the world, met former world queen Sun Yingsha for the second time after this year's Asian Cup group stage; Jian Tongjuan, ranked 52 in the world, played against the 20-year-old Welsh rising star Hersey.

In the mixed doubles, Lin Yunru/Zheng Yijing, ranked 10th in the world, had a bye in the first round and will face the winner of the Chilean pair Gomez/Ortega and the British pair Green/He Tiantian in the round of 16; the men's doubles pair of Feng Yixin/Guo Guanhong will face the Naresh brothers of the United States in the first round. If they can pass the round of 16, they will face the French LeBron brothers, ranked first in the world.
