Focusing on improving the viewing experience, this year's event focused on upgrading the venue's hardware facilities. Hall 2 was newly equipped with a large viewing screen, and 3D Mapping projection technology was introduced for the first time in the sports display section to enhance the immersive viewing effect.
Among them, the Baji Field is based on the Shougang industrial heritage and the ice hockey stadium, with the main table as the center to create a wrap-around visual effect. The main screen, hanging screen, bucket screen, ground screen, fence screen, and ground projection are linked to each other and combined with surround sound to form an immersive experience. This year, Baji Field uses 3D Mapping projection technology for the first time. Customized shows with different themes will be staged every day before the game. Four projectors accurately project from the top of the venue to the FOP area, covering the entire competition venue to achieve high-brightness, high-definition ground imaging. With the help of projection technology, the ground dynamically presents urban images such as mortise and tenon joints, caissons, Shougang's No. 3 Blast Furnace, and Yongding River, and generates table tennis trajectories.
Hall 2 was renovated from the Shougang Park E-Sports Center and has a wider space. The qualifying rounds and some later games will be held here. This year, the lighting and sound effects have been upgraded, and a new giant ice screen with a length of 37 meters and a width of 8 meters has been installed to provide better stage beauty and light and shadow effects.
Grand Slam Park has been completely renovated and upgraded. As an important part of the Grand Slam Park, the supporting stands of the Shougang Ski Jump will be opened to the public for the first time, releasing more space for on-site experience. There are game broadcasts and fan interactions on site every day, and some games include interactions between players and fans and fan meetings.
This year, the WTT China Youth Grand Slam will continue to be held at the same time as the main event, from October 9th to 11th. In order to realize the linkage of the two games, the organizing committee adheres to precise time-sharing and classification management, and continues to optimize key links such as venue switching and security streamlines to ensure that the two games are seamlessly linked and the two games have the same glory.
