Yeni Malatyaspor's 19-year professional league adventure, extending to the Super League and UEFA Europa League, has ended.
Yeni Malatyaspor, which did not play in the 3rd League 3rd Group matches this season, was relegated to the amateur league by the decision of the Turkish Football Federation Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK).
Competing in different leagues since its establishment, Yeni Malatyaspor entered a new era in its journey in professional leagues by being promoted to the 3rd League in the 2006-2007 season and to the 2nd League in the 2009-2010 season.
Malatya representative was promoted to the 1st League by becoming the champion in the 2nd League White Group in the 2014-2015 season.
The yellow-black team finished the 2016-2017 season in second place and succeeded in advancing to the Super League.
COMPETED IN THE SUPER LEAGUE FOR 5 SEASONS
Yeni Malatyaspor competed in the Super League for the first time in its history in the 2017-2018 season.
The Malatya team completed its Super League season in 10th place and finished the 2018-2019 season in 5th place, achieving one of the most successful results in its history.
Yeni Malatyaspor, which earned the right to participate in the UEFA Europa League after league champion Galatasaray won the Ziraat Turkish Cup in the same season, represented Türkiye in the European cups.
Although the yellow-blacks advanced to the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, they ended their European adventure in this round.
Yeni Malatyaspor finished the Super League in 16th place in the 2019-2020 season. However, it continued to remain in the Super League after the Turkish Football Federation lifted the relegation due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
The Malatya representative finished the 2020-2021 season in 15th place, and finished the 2021-2022 season in the last place and said goodbye to the Super League.
