NEW Party will gather its founders' board before the congress: 'More inclusive management' goal

NEW Party, which is preparing for its first congress within the scope of the establishment process, will hold primary elections for the chairmanship this weekend with approximately 800 thousand members. As part of the primary election, more than 3 thousand ballot boxes will be set up across Türkiye on November 8. Just like in the provincial chairman elections, party members who are members until the end of this day will be able to vote in ballot boxes to be established in different districts. Stating that they will "take an irreversible step in politics" with this election to be held at the weekend, NEW Party staff said, "This weekend, for the first time, a party will hold an election to determine its chairman with its members. This will also be an indicator of our 'new politics' discourse. All executives of the party, from the district chairman to the chairman, will be elected at the discretion of its members."

After the elections are completed at the weekend, NEW Party leader Özgür Özel will convene both the founding board of his party and the Central Executive Board on Monday. In these meetings, the latest changes to be made to the charter before the congress will be discussed. In this context, the number of members of the Party Assembly, which has 80 members in the current charter, is expected to be increased and exceed 100. It is expected that additions will be made to the Party Assembly, which currently consists only of deputies, from different professional groups, trade unionism and well-known names in their fields. Thus, it is conveyed that participation in the party is increased.

Stating that the party will "show its new organizational model more" in the coming days, the party staff said, "When the provincial, district and neighborhood assemblies are established, there will be teachers, retirees, farmers, unionists, young people, names from women's organizations, disabled people and people from all professions. Those people will have working groups. And they will explain the party's solution proposals for Turkey in every neighborhood and district." In this context, it was stated that a representation in line with this new organizational model will be reflected in the new Party Assembly.

On the other hand; It is stated that with the congress, the number of deputy chairmanships, which are currently only related to the technical affairs of the party, will be increased with titles such as vice chairmanships responsible for health, education, foreign policy and working life, as in the past. It is also expected that the working groups and advisory boards that Özel created during the CHP period to prepare election promises will be re-established under these deputy chairmanships.

NEW Party has also determined the slogan for its congress to be held in Ankara Atatürk Sports Hall. The congress will be held with the slogan "Türkiye is being renewed" and the themes of "establishment, new politics and power" will be discussed. The party will introduce its new songs for the first time at this congress.
