NEW Party Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç and Çorum Deputy Mehmet Tahtasız met with journalists in Tokat within the scope of the field studies carried out by their party in 81 provinces.
In his statement here, Aşkın Genç stated that his party aims to bring together different segments of society and said that they carried out field work in 81 provinces.
Arguing that the government has no ability to solve the problems, Genç said, "Turkey is not in the place it deserves after 24 years of AKP rule. It is intertwined with major problems in every sense with its economy, industry, education and health system. The AKP government no longer has the ability to solve the problems. With the recent foreign exchange and oil mobility, diesel fuel has reached the 100 lira limit. Those who are engaged in neither agriculture, animal husbandry nor industry are satisfied. Retirees are with 23 thousand liras, minimum wage earners are 28 thousand liras." "They cannot survive with a thousand liras," he said.
Genç stated that the people want a change of power and said, "Even if they are held on time, there will be elections in this country within two years, but we predict and recommend that they should be early. It is not possible to solve the problems without elections."
Genç stated that law and justice are also important economically and said, "If there is no law and justice, foreign investors will not come and people will not feel safe. The first thing we will do under the NEW Party government is to establish justice and law."
MEHMET TAHTASIZ: "WE ARE COMING TO END POVERTY, NOT TO MANAGE IT"
NEW Party Çorum Deputy Mehmet Tahtasız also stated that 30 million widows, orphans, minimum wage earners and retired citizens in Türkiye are condemned to live below the hunger line.
Tahtasiz said:
"This government came in saying 'we will reduce bans, corruption and poverty', but managed to come to power by managing poverty. 26 million people in our country are left with enforcement and bankruptcy files.
Schools have opened, it is difficult to find a dormitory. A father says that he had to sell his house to cover his child's private university fee of 5.5 million lira, but even if his child finishes school, he cannot work and buy that house again. When we said 'textile is going bankrupt' in Çorum two years ago, they did not believe it. Now the biggest textile factories have closed their doors and 4-5 thousand of our citizens are unemployed in Çorum alone. We want this from our citizens: They should believe that we will not leave anyone out. "We are coming to end this poverty, not to manage it."
"WE DO NOT ACCEPT THE BUILDING OF A VILLA IN IMRALI WHILE THE MARTYR'S FAMILY LIVES IN A ONE-EYED HOUSE"
Answering the questions of journalists after his statements, Tahtasız answered the question regarding the "Terror-Free Türkiye" debates and the claim that a building was built for Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, in İmralı as follows:
"Of course, we are among those who want the guns to be silenced, no blood to be shed, and terrorism to end in the Republic of Turkey. We want peace and tranquility in this country. However, these decisions can only be made by the deputies under the umbrella of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. This process cannot be achieved simply by going to the feet of the baby murderer, expanding his living standards in Imrali, and offering privileges.
We could have provided employment opportunities for many of our young people with the money spent. What deals are being made behind closed doors? If a villa is built for the head of a terrorist organization and my martyr's family is condemned to live in a single room house, we will not accept this. We are among those who say 'Long live a fully independent Türkiye'. "We stand by the secular Republic of Turkey, which defends that the Republic of Turkey will survive forever."
