A late-night fire broke out at a cupping and scraping shop in Zhongzheng District, Taipei City. The fire station put it out immediately and no one was injured.

Fire and smoke suddenly erupted from a cupping and scraping shop in Lane 61, Linsen South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City at around 21:7 this evening. People nearby the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and National Taiwan University Hospital smelled a burning smell. The fire department did not dare to be careless and dispatched a large number of disaster relief vehicles and personnel to the scene for rescue.

Fire and smoke suddenly erupted from a tin house in Lane 61, Linsen South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City at around 21:7 this evening. Because the scene was close to residential houses and there was a danger of burning, and thick smoke and odor spread, people around the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and National Taiwan University Hospital smelled a burning smell. The fire department did not dare to be careless and dispatched a large number of rescue vehicles and personnel to the scene for rescue. The fire was successfully extinguished at 21:50. There were no casualties at the scene, and the exact cause of the fire remains to be clarified by further testing by Fire Investigation Department personnel.

The Taipei City Fire Department received a report from the public at 21:07 this evening that thick smoke and flames were coming out of a tin house on Lane 61, Linsen South Road, Zhongzheng District. The disaster relief personnel did not dare to take it lightly and immediately dispatched 6 command vehicles, 19 fire trucks, 3 ambulances and 49 firefighters to the scene. Since the incident occurred in an alley, surrounded by many residential buildings, firefighters immediately deployed multiple water lines at the scene to prevent the fire from spreading upward or to the buildings on both sides.

Due to the dense fire smoke at the scene and the wind blowing at night, the thick smoke mixed with the burning smell spread rapidly. The surrounding areas such as the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Chang Wing-fat Foundation, Dongmen Elementary School, Chiang Kai-shek Sports Center and National Taiwan University Hospital were filled with an unpleasant and pungent odor. Many people went out to check or called to report. The disaster relief personnel continued to rescue and successfully controlled and extinguished the fire at 21:50 in the evening.

After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters immediately began to deal with the residual fire and conduct a layer-by-layer inspection. They successfully contacted the owner's son and confirmed that no one was home at the time. At the same time, the store where the fire broke out and the four related people all contacted to confirm that it was safe. No one was trapped or injured at the scene. The detailed origin and exact cause of the fire are currently being collected and identified by the Fire Investigation Section of the Fire Department.
