First Results of NEW Party Muğla District Presidency Primary Elections Announced

The first results of the NEW Party's district chairmanship primary elections in Muğla have become clear. Tuna Işın was elected in Bodrum, Batuhan Kıloğlu in Menteşe, Yiğitnur Alkaya Özdemir in Milas, Tanju Satulmuş in Köyceğiz, Ege Curacı in Datça and Gürkan Aktaş in Ula.

Member-based primary election ballot boxes were established to determine the district leaders of the NEW Party throughout Muğla. NEW Party Bodrum District Headquarters set up ballot boxes in four different locations in Bodrum in order to facilitate the voting of its members during the primary election process. NEW Party Bodrum Founding District Chairman Tuna Işın, who emerged as the only candidate due to no other candidacy applications, became NEW Party Bodrum District Chairman with 2 thousand 320 votes. It was reported that Bodrum NEW Party District Administration will be formed from 24 principal and 24 substitute members after the primary election.

In addition to Bodrum, NEW Party members in other districts of Muğla went to the polls to determine the district presidents. A total of 21 thousand 547 members are expected to vote in the NEW Party district presidential primaries planned this weekend across Muğla in 13 districts. On Saturday, September 26, Bodrum, Menteşe and Milas primary election results became clear.

Batuhan Kıloğlu and Bahattin Gümüş competed for the district presidency in Menteşe. As a result of the primary election, Batuhan Kıloğlu came first by receiving 1,670 of the 2,757 votes cast in the election in which there were 3,404 registered members. Bahattin Gümüş received 1,021 votes, 66 votes were deemed invalid.

Founder District President Zühra Dönmez and Yiğitnur Alkaya Özdemir competed in the primary election held in Milas. Yiğitnur Alkaya Özdemir came first in the election where there were 2 thousand 474 members. It was reported that Özdemir received 1,372 votes, while Zühra Dönmez received 403 votes. 11 votes were deemed invalid in the election.

In Köyceğiz, NEW Party Founding District Chairman Tanju Satulmuş, in Datça, Founding District Chairman Ege Curacı, and in Ula, Founding District Chairman Gürkan Aktaş entered the primary election as the only candidate and was elected as the district chairman with the support of the members.

With the completion of the election calendar in Dalaman, Marmaris, Kavaklıdere, Ortaca, Yatağan, Fethiye and Seydikemer today, the district heads throughout Muğla will be determined.
