Call from NEW Party member Özgür Çelik to the members in Istanbul: He spoke at the ballot box

While the voting process continues in the primaries organized by the NEW Party throughout Türkiye to determine the provincial leaders, a call came from Istanbul Founding Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik to the party members.

Publishing a video on his social media account, Çelik reminded that the ballot boxes established in 39 districts of Istanbul will be open until 17.00 and invited the members to vote.

Drawing attention to the importance of participating in the ballot box despite being the only candidate in the provincial presidential election, Çelik said, "Please do not think of it as an election with a single candidate. This ballot box is very valuable, this ballot box is very valuable."

"WE ARE ACHIEVING A FIRST IN Türkiye"

Stating that his party's management staff is determined by the votes of its members, Çelik said the following in his statement:

"We are breaking new ground in Türkiye. For the first time, we are electing district chairmen, provincial chairmen and our chairperson by the votes of the members. We have determined our district chairmen, today we are electing provincial chairmen in the ballot boxes established in 81 provinces of Türkiye, and we will elect our chairperson in November."

Calling on all party members in Istanbul to vote, Çelik continued his words as follows:

"Today, I invite all our members in Istanbul to vote in the ballot boxes set up in 39 districts of Istanbul. Our ballot boxes are open until 17.00. Please do not think of it as an election with a single candidate. This ballot box is very valuable, let's protect the ballot boxes together. Come and elect your provincial president with your votes, let's continue our struggle together with determination. I would like to thank all our members in Istanbul wholeheartedly."

APPROXIMATELY 140 THOUSAND MEMBERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN ISTANBUL

NEW Party's 1st Istanbul Provincial Congress started on October 17 at the Istanbul Congress Center. Addressing the party members at the congress, Özgür Çelik is participating in the primary election for the Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship as the only candidate.

Approximately 140 thousand party members have the right to vote in the voting process, which started at 10:00 in 39 districts today. The polls will close at 17.00.
