The Latest State of the Hospital Closed During the Newborn Gang Investigation Was Viewed

Stating that the images of the hospital in an idle state were recorded so that the public would not forget what happened, Mustafa Kurt stated that he secretly entered the building, shot the images for documentary purposes and was injured during the entrance. Kurt also stated that he did not want to share the full name of the hospital in order to prevent incidents such as theft.

NEWBORN GANG INVESTIGATION STARTED IN 2023

The investigation, publicly known as the "Newborn Gang", began after a report was made to the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate in 2023. After the notice received through CİMER was forwarded to the Istanbul Police Department for Combating Financial Crimes on May 21, 2023, an investigation was launched by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. While 47 suspects were detained in the operations carried out on April 26, 2024, some of the hospitals mentioned within the scope of the investigation were later closed.

THE HOSPITAL HAS BEEN IMPOSED FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS

At this point today, approximately 1 year and 11 months have passed since the hospital was closed. While the images showed that there were incubators used in neonatal intensive care, various medical devices, computers, medicines and consumables inside the building, it was noted that the operating room remained largely as it was. Mustafa Kurt mentioned the images specifically for the purpose of keeping the incident on the public agenda and not forgetting what happened, and gave the message, "No one should enter this hospital. I only entered for documentary purposes."
