Personnel changes in the Polish Army: New nominations of the head of the Ministry of National Defense

The decision to appoint the deputy Polish Military Representative to the NATO and EU Military Committees as the head of the EU operational department was given to Brig. Gen. Mirosław Bodnar. Information about changes in the army was provided the day after Onet published it. According to the portal's sources, General Bodnar was unable to cope with the tasks entrusted to him and that is why the management of the Ministry of National Defense decided that he would no longer serve as the inspector of unmanned weapons systems. The problem was both the small number of unmanned aerial vehicles in the units and the lack of a comprehensive concept for the development and use of drones in the Polish Armed Forces. Gen. Bodnar did not have adequate knowledge about drones to hold such a high position.

Yesterday, the Deputy Prime Minister announced at a press conference that General Bodnar would go to Brussels. He will cooperate there with General Piotr Błazeusz, who is our main representative to the European Union and NATO, he noted.

For the position of rector-commandant of the Land Forces Academy. General Tadeusz Kościuszko, the Minister of Defense appointed Brig. Dariusz Czekaj. The vice-rector for military affairs of the Academy of War Arts was Brig. Gen. Jerzy Kwika.

Col. Andrzej Czernyhowski was appointed commander of the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base, and Col. was appointed commander of the 109th Military Hospital with a SP ZOZ clinic. Piotr Antoszewski.
