Białoruski Straż Graniczna odnalazła ciało migranta w pobliżu granicy z Łotwą
The committee said in a statement: "On June 2, the Belarusian border guards found the body of a foreigner (of dark-skinned Arab appearance) in the Braslav district of the Vitebsk region, 50 meters from the Belarusian-Latvian border."
The statement added that the border guards found drag marks extending from the European fence towards the location of the body, and that the barbed wire blocking an animal crossing was removed, indicating a forced crossing or expulsion.
During the examination of the body, clear signs of beating and marks indicating the use of a stun gun against the deceased were discovered. The deceased was not found to be carrying any documents or a phone.
Last October, the body of a refugee was found near the same fence on the border with Latvia, bringing the total number of migrants found dead on the border with EU countries to 79.
