By Kim Eun-jung SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean automaker Kia Corp. said Wednesday it will showcase its military vehicles at an international defense exhibition in Romania as part of efforts to expand into the European market. The company will display its Tasman command and control vehicle at the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace 2026 in Bucharest, which opens later in the day for a three-day run. It marks the first time Tasman will be showcased in Europe. The Tasman, equipped with off-road performance, as well as safety and convenience features, has been deployed as the standard command vehicle for South Korea's armed forces since last year. At the exhibition, Kia will also display a two-seat cargo version of its light tactical vehicle (KLTV), which is designed for operations across rugged terrain, including rivers, steep slopes and mountainous areas. The KLTV, which has been supplied to the South Korean military since 2016, is currently in operation in Europe, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America.
