The meeting proposed the "Great Vision for East Kaohsiung" policy, including continuing to promote the eastward extension of Provincial Highway 86, extending the National Highway No. 10 Ligang Interchange of the Xinwei Bridge, fully promoting the reconstruction of the Kaohsiung Highway 133, and conducting a feasibility assessment of the extension of the MRT Purple Line to Daqimei, so as to make mass transportation in the Daqimei area more convenient.

He reminded that this election should pay special attention to the turnout and remember the lessons of Chen's first run. Qiu Yiying and Xu Zhijie unanimously pointed out that 10 months ago, they and Lai Ruilong competed for the Kaohsiung mayoral primary election within the party. Lai Ruilong said that Qiu Yiying has been striving for construction from the central government for a long time. Through local briefings and communication with the central government, he has continued to promote the eastward extension of Provincial Highway 86 to Provincial Highway 3. The Executive Yuan has approved it at the end of 2020, and the total funding for the follow-up project has been adjusted to 11.1 billion yuan. It will connect Tainan Guanmiao, Longqi and the inner gate area of ​​​​Kaohsiung. In the future, it will strengthen transportation in the mountainous areas of Tainan and Kaohsiung, and will also help emergency medical treatment, disaster relief and local tourism development.

In addition, the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Qishan Hospital continues to improve its medical services. Local folks no longer have to travel hard and have the best medical quality in Qishan. Regarding the future municipal blueprint, Lai Ruilong proposed the "Great Vision for East Kaohsiung", saying that he will continue to promote the east extension project of Provincial Highway 86, fully promote the reconstruction of Highway 133, comprehensively improve the Liugui Road, while strengthening disaster prevention and traffic resilience in mountainous areas, continue to promote the extension of the Xinwei Bridge to National Highway No. 10 Ligang Interchange, and will also promote the feasibility assessment of the MRT Purple Line extension to Qimei.

In terms of culture and tourism, the "Daqi Mei Aboriginal Mountain City Road" is planned to connect Hakka and Aboriginal culture, and combine features such as the Neimen Songjiang Formation, Baolai Hot Spring, and Namaxia Firefly Appreciation; in terms of industry and agriculture, we continue to strengthen the guidance of young farmers and youth entrepreneurship, assist in the marketing of agricultural products, and expand channels, so that young people are willing to stay and work in their hometown; medical and In terms of daily care, the plan is to integrate medical systems such as Rongzong Hospital, E-Da University, and Qishan Hospital, and use mobile medical vehicles and telemedicine to establish a complete care network for the elderly. At the same time, a new Qishan Sports Center will be built to move towards the goal of "one district, one sports center", and the widening of Huanhu Road in Meinong District will be accelerated to improve the quality of sightseeing and transportation around Meinong Lake.
