The right-wing party wins regional elections in Germany and confirms that Berlin's support for Ukraine shifted votes in favor of the opposition

These statements came after the right-wing party won the elections that took place on Sunday, where it obtained 43.8 percent of the votes, far ahead of the Christian Democratic Union Party, which came in second place with 17.2 percent.

Krubala explained during a press conference in Berlin that federal policy issues greatly influenced the course of affairs, noting that internal security and issues of war and peace represented crucial messages in directing voters’ choices.

He added that German citizens were fed up with Berlin's support for Kiev, which ultimately led to the shifting of votes in favor of the opposition, considering that people are well aware of how billions of tax revenues are transferred daily to Ukraine, which in essence represents the smuggling of public funds abroad instead of spending them on the local population, stressing: "This approach is the direct cause of the deterioration of the current economic situation in the country."

In this context, the German newspaper "Bild" had previously indicated that the results of these regional elections may represent the beginning of the end for the current German government headed by Chancellor Friedrich Merz, which opens the door to questions about the possibility of him submitting his early resignation.
