Iranian Ambassador confirms US strike on Minab school

MOSCOW, August 21 - RIA Novosti. The fact of the US strike on a school in Minab has been confirmed, but Washington is trying to evade responsibility, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The White House in mid-July refused to admit responsibility for the attack on a school in Iran, saying the United States never targets children.

"The United States does not need to confirm or deny this; the remains of Tomahawk guided missiles at the scene, as well as various evidence and reports confirm that the target of the attack was an active elementary school for girls. Denying this objective fact is an insult to the opinion of the world community," the ambassador said.

He added that the United States is trying to hide this human tragedy behind political statements, but those responsible for what happened must be brought to justice, and recalled that August 15 marked 168 days since the death of 168 students at the Minab school.
