Iran is awaiting an official US response to its proposals on the Strait of Hormuz

Iran is awaiting an official response from the United States to proposals put forward by Tehran to resolve the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, despite the refusal of American President Donald Trump. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, Tehran is aware of the initial reaction of the US President, but the republic has not yet received an official response from Washington through intermediaries.

Araqchi noted that the American leader is making contradictory statements and therefore Iran intends to wait for the final position of the United States before making further decisions.

“In any case, our conditions are clear, and any steps forward to open the Strait of Hormuz depend on the fulfillment of these conditions, and we will not deviate from them,” the minister emphasized.

He once again recalled that ending the conflict and resolving the Hormuz issue is possible only through negotiations.

On September 26, Trump rejected Iran's proposed Strait of Hormuz shipping plan. The president did not voice the reasons for the refusal.

Later, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov caught the American leader in a lie, saying that the President of the United States was “again wishful thinking for him,” and the words about a “huge US victory” in the conflict with Tehran and control of the strait are not valid.
