Chen Guanxun assisted the Shanghai Orcas in a victory in the first game of the CPB Summer Solstice League with 2 scoreless innings.

[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] Yesterday, in G1 of the China CPB Summer Solstice League Championship, former Fubon star left-hander Chen Guanxun, who played for the Shanghai Orcas, provided two scoreless innings as a backup, helping the team win the game.

Chen Guanxun failed to participate in the 2021 mid-season draft of the secondary school. In September of the same year, he signed a self-trained player contract with the Fubon Titans and became an official player in October. In his career, he played a total of 75 games, pitched 64.1 innings, and had an ERA of 4.62. He also participated in the All-Star Game in 2023. However, he applied to be a retired player at the end of 2024 and bid farewell to the secondary school arena.

Chen Guanxun found a new stage in CPB. He previously played for the Shanghai Chi-Da Dragons in the Beginning of Spring League. He appeared in a total of 6 games with a record of 2 wins and 0 losses and an ERA of 0.90. He pitched well in China and won the Golden Glove Award. In the Summer Solstice League, he switched to the Shanghai Orca jersey.

Shanghai Orca advanced to the finals and started a 2-win showdown with Beijing Zhengda Dragon. In yesterday's first game, Chen Guanxun's backup team closed the game without scoring in 2 games, holding on to the team's victory. In the end, the Shanghai Orcas won 11:1, gaining a draw advantage.
