The Yilan City Government held a commendation ceremony for representatives of the Truth, Kindness and Beauty Awards and good people and deeds today. Among them, Lin Qiuping, the director of the kindergarten affiliated to Yilan Elementary School, who won the Truth, Kindness and Beauty Award. Not only is she dedicated to creating local picture books, she also bravely delivered a baby to a mother in emergency at the school gate at the end of last year. Her passion and selfless charity moved the public and became the hottest focus of the audience.

Lin Qiuping shows great love in critical moments, and she is dedicated to children with enthusiasm in daily life. She uses her early childhood education expertise and ingenuity to integrate teaching concepts with local culture. She has published many original and highly influential fairy tale picture books. She uses rich and vivid Yilan stories to nourish children's beautiful childhood. She is a highly respected education promoter in the local area.

This year’s commendation conference gathered together good deeds, and a total of 6 people won the Truth, Kindness and Beauty Award. In addition to Lin Qiuping, five other students from Yilan Junior High School, including Liu Haojun, Huang Zien, Lan Junkai, Wu Zhewei, and Chen Shian, were recognized for their bravery and initiative to assist the elderly.

Yilan Mayor Chen Meiling also personally presented awards today to 32 representatives of good people and good deeds recommended by the Li Office, as well as 219 street lamp adopters. Chen Meiling pointed out that last year, the city pledged a total of more than 1,800 street lamps. She thanked the adopters for pledging multiple lamps for many years or at one time, supporting the municipal government with practical actions, not only lighting up the roads at night, but also silently protecting the safety of citizens at night.

Chen Meiling emphasized that she would like to thank all the recipients for their selfless contributions. Whether they are winners of truth, kindness, good deeds, or street lamp adopters, the stories behind them are all moving.
