An accident at the transformer box of Tainan Yongkang Textile Factory caused a fire and an employee was electrocuted to death

A fire broke out in a textile factory on Zhongzheng North Road, Yongkang District, Tainan this evening. It was an accident involving a high-voltage electrical transformer box in the factory. The fire brigade was called to put out the fire. One employee was suspected of being electrocuted and died. The relevant case is under in-depth investigation and clarification.

The textile factory is located on Provincial Highway 1. After receiving the report, the Nanshi Fire Department dispatched 17 vehicles and 35 people to the scene, and 8 firefighters also came to the scene to provide support.

The scene was an accident involving a high-voltage electrical substation in a textile factory (the substation was converted from 66,000 volts to 10,011 volts). Taipower's UHV personnel completed the power outage at 6:07 p.m., and the fire brigade went all out to rescue the accident.

Water lines were deployed at the scene to prevent the spread of the fire. Fire extinguishers were used to put out the fire initially. After the power was cut off, the remaining fire in the building was treated, and the switchboard and debris were burned. The burning area was about 40 square meters.

A deputy section chief surnamed Lu of the company apparently died after being electrocuted. The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire dispatchers, and the police will further clarify the case.
