A fire accident was reported in the Hukou service area of National Highway 1 northbound this afternoon (30th)! A 46-year-old man surnamed Huang was driving a white car at 86 kilometers northbound on National Highway 1 when thick black smoke suddenly erupted from the vehicle. Seeing this, Huang did not dare to be careless. He quickly parked the car in the parking space of the service area and got out to check. Unexpectedly, fierce flames suddenly shot out from the front of the car and the entire car was engulfed in flames.

The scene was filled with thick smoke and the fire was quite fierce at one time. Many people passing by were frightened and quickly reported the incident. After receiving the notification, the Hsinchu County Government Fire Department immediately dispatched firefighting vehicles and personnel to the scene, and urgently laid out water lines to carry out rescue operations. Firefighters quickly controlled the fire and completely extinguished it at around 4 p.m. Fortunately, Huang Nan reacted quickly and decisively got out of the car to escape. No other people in the car were trapped, and a possible casualty crisis was successfully resolved.
