Ebola spread continues in Democratic Republic of Congo, 1,203 confirmed cases, 321 deaths

The spread of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Democratic Republic of Congo) continues.

According to Reuters on the 27th (local time), the Democratic Congo government announced in a statement released the night before that the number of confirmed Ebola cases was 1,203.

This is an increase of 200 people from the 1,003 people counted on the 21st.

The number of deaths increased by about 70 over the same period to 321.

In Uganda, 20 people have been diagnosed with the virus until recently, two of whom have died, and the first confirmed case in France.

Democratic Congo authorities are working hard to prevent the spread of Ebola, but the rate of tracking and testing infected people is still at about 55%. The tracking rate estimated by the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), an international health organization of the African Union (AU), is around 12%, which is much lower than the figure announced by the Democratic Congo authorities.
