The campaign headquarters of Wu Shujin, candidate for Penghu county magistrate of the Democratic Progressive Party, was held today (8th) at Penghu No. 1 Winery. President Lai Qingde made a special trip across the sea to support the election. 3,000 supporters poured into the scene, showing his victorious momentum. Wu Shujin publicly announced that she would only serve as county magistrate for one term and would encourage the younger generation to participate in politics to achieve the goal of generational change.

The campaign headquarters was established today, and DPP Penghu warriors gathered together, including legislators Yang Yao and Wang Dingyu, deputy county magistrate Lin Jixing, Magong Mayor Huang Jianzhong, Penghu County Councilors Lu Huangchunjin, Cai Qingxu, and candidates for Huxi Township Mayor Yang Zhaowu, Penghu County Assembly candidate Yan Jiakang, DPP Penghu County Party Committee Chairman Lu Changzai and others, as well as former county magistrate Gao Zhipeng and former Kaohsiung City Speaker Cai Jianxing, three people were specially arranged to share the stage at the scene, symbolizing inheritance from generation to generation.

Wu Shujin said that what Chen Guangfu was worried about was what Wu Shujin should do for him. We must achieve for Penghu: common prosperity from generation to generation, international integration, safeguarding democracy, and happy progress! These are the four major demands and the four major goals. The only purpose of Chen Guangfu's re-election is to make Penghu the happiest island in Taiwan, to let the world see the beauty and goodness of Penghu, and to let more young people participate in politics. Therefore, it is announced that the elected county magistrate will only serve one term, and will not be re-elected after four years. We must complete the generational change and hand over the future of Penghu to the younger generation!

Lai Qingde praised Wu Shujin as the biggest pillar behind successful men, and like Penghu Tianrenju, has a perseverance spirit. Although she faced strong winds and severe environments, she grew up bravely. Therefore, the DPP decided to recruit Wu Shujin to go on the expedition and shoulder the responsibility. With heavy responsibilities, I believe that Wu Shujin will take over the work of County Magistrate. She will definitely continue the pragmatic governance spirit of County Magistrate Chen Guangfu, inherit the foundation laid for Penghu in the past, continue to build the place, take care of every citizen, and let Penghu continue to develop and move towards a happy and livable place.
