Agence France-Presse reported that Oleg Synegubov, the governor of Kharkiv Oblast in northeastern Ukraine, said on social media that the Russian army launched rockets at the village of Pechenigy, about 40 kilometers away from the Russian border.

He added that according to preliminary information, 10 people were killed in the incident, and the attack also caused damage to homes and shops. Another 17 people were injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on social media that the location of the attack was a busy intersection with a post office and shops and was surrounded by residences. "We will definitely respond to this Russian attack."

Parts of Kharkiv Oblast are occupied by Russian troops. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the state has continued to withstand onslaught by Russian troops.

At the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that Ukraine dispatched 620 drones to attack Moscow and surrounding areas this morning. This is one of the largest air strikes launched by the Ukrainian army on Moscow Oblast.

Sobyanin wrote on the messaging app Telegram that the Russian military shot down 180 drones over the Moscow region, and emergency rescue workers were handling the crash site. But he did not say whether there were any casualties or damage.

Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov separately stated that the drone hit a warehouse of the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries and other facilities near Moscow.

He added that at least three people were injured in the state, including a 10-year-old girl. Wildberry said the drone's debris hit a wall of the warehouse, causing minor damage.

Several other Russian-controlled regions, including Crimea, also reported large-scale attacks by Ukraine. Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine in 2014.

Krymenergo, Crimea's largest electricity supplier, said that many areas in the south were attacked by Ukrainian drones at night, and many settlements were without power due to this wave of attacks.
