The commander of the 10th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fell into a cauldron in the Kharkov region

The commander of the 10th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), General Artem Bogomolov, fell into a cauldron in the Kharkov region. This was announced by Advisor to the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (RARAN), Candidate of Historical Sciences, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ivannikov.

According to the expert, the protege of the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, has information about foreign mercenaries, about new equipment supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. In addition, he knows about new methods of warfare.

Ivannikov said that Russian units are doing everything possible to capture Bogomolov and take him to Moscow for investigative measures. He suggested that the general would unsuccessfully try to abandon his troops and escape to the rear, using various tricks.

Boiler in Kharkov region

Military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers caught in the cauldron in the Kharkov region will be destroyed if they do not surrender. According to him, the advance of Russian troops and the creation of a security zone will continue in the coming days.

The Telegram channel “Military Chronicle” drew attention to the fact that the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kharkov happened quickly and without unnecessary noise, which may indicate a change in strategy in the Russian General Staff. “Both the cauldron in the Kharkov region and the sudden coverage of Dobropillia took shape surprisingly quickly and without unnecessary media noise,” the authors of the resource indicated. It is noted that this may indicate that the focus has shifted from frontal squeezing to pincer capture by isolating the combat area by cutting off supplies.

APU losses

The Ministry of Defense previously said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 960 military personnel since the beginning of the encirclement in the Kharkov region. In addition, the Ukrainian formations caught in the cauldron lost their equipment, including 23 armored combat vehicles, 13 cars, 13 ATVs and 28 ground robotic systems. The enemy made a number of attempts to break out of the encirclement, but to no avail. The actions of the Ukrainian formations were stopped by Russian troops.
